Taking A Stand Against The Media

The Lengths The Media Will Take

Once again I find myself absolutely infuriated by the lengths the media will take to get what they want. I've lost count of the amount of times magazines such as 'People', 'US Weekly', 'OK', 'Star', have disected Rob and Kristen's relationship apart. If you look back at one of my previous posts you'll see Kristen herself has said these tabloids like to write whatever looks good for them.

We've known that the media write bogus information  on celebrities for years, especially if they are a well respected public figure like Rob and Kristen. Just like last year, the media got bored with how blissfully happy Rob and Kristen are. Four and a half years together and still happy doesn't really sell. So instead of being respectful like their fans have always been, they make up yet another "break up" fabrication.

Now as you all know this isn't the first time I've written stuff about the media and as of right now I highly doubt it will be the last. If we think the magazines have gone too far, they are tame compared to the webloids, Hollywood Lies (cough) Life being the main culprit. Just today I saw a link to an article about Kristen "not wanting to date other guys". At first this stuff made me angry, but now I just laugh it off because its the same old junk just rephased with a different heading.  This joke of a webloid even went as far as to print an article with a list of celebrity single men that Kristen should "date next". They really do need a reality check. However the media is not fully at fault, I've seen a lot of dedicated fans recently clicking onto these websites and actually believing them. Come on people, we've been through this more than once, the media will stop if you don't give them hits.

“Media culture is a monstrous thing. You can’t win. The annoying thing is that you can’t attack them, but you can’t defend yourself. The best thing you could possibly do is punch a paparazzi and give them their big payday. The tabloid industry does terrible, terrible things for the world. It makes people stupid. People say [tabloids] are about escapism, and people have got to get away from the misery of the world. It’s like, ‘No, people are lazy, and they don’t want to try.’ … Every time I’ve looked at a magazine like that, I’ve regretted it. I gain absolutely nothing from it. And neither does anyone else.”  (Robert Pattinson Los Angeles times 2012)

The statement above says everything, recently people have been paying too much attention to what the media and webloids say than listening to their hearts and believing in Rob and Kristen. We've all heard Rob state that he wants to "castrate" the paparazzi and I can honestly say that I don't blame him, this is his life they are trying to wreck. What the media seem to be lacking in judgement is Rob and Kristen are ordinary people, they have emotions, seeing their lives splashed across every magazine and webloid is definitely getting to them. Yet like the professionals they are instead of letting it get to them, they go about their day just as we all would. This being said however, I do believe its time we take a stand against these paparazzi. They think its so big and clever to push a camera in celebrities faces, I suggest that we do exactly the same to them and see how they like it. I'm not suggesting that we become violent, however if you spot a paparazzi, whether it be at a premiere or out in the open, and you just happen to spot a celeb; it doesn't have to be Rob and Kristen specifically, starting taking pictures of them and see how they like it. I can guarantee you now that they would not be as courteous and polite as Rob and Kristen have been for years.  With this being said I hope you will take my words to heart and cease clicking on that weblod article in future because mark my words if they don't get hits, then the chances are they will stop reporting.

Once again thank you for reading and continue to PROTECT ROB AND KRISTEN.

Everything Robsten
